Nothing but blank

It often feels like we've hit a wall when we see blankness. We stare into it as if it's something to be fixed. Blank paper, write something. Blank wall? Let's put up a frame. Blank calendar. Why don't I meet someone? Blank chat. Isn't he up yet? Blank sky, where are all the clouds today? Damn.

We crave the state of nothingness, yet do everything in our power to run away from it. And this mental wiring is exactly why we aren't able to do the things that actually matter to us. It always feels like we're playing catch up, while life passes by.

If you get an entire year of nothingness - nothing to do, nowhere to be, nobody to answer to, what would you do? Or not do.
