Day 1 of 2025

2024 taught me a truth I wasn’t ready for:

“Everything I lose creates space for everything I need.”

Last year was rough. I mean really rough. I lost loved ones, missed out on some big opportunities, and after stepping away from my company, I didn’t just feel lost—I was lost. It was like standing in a field that had been completely wiped out by a storm. Everything I’d worked for, gone! But here’s the thing. Starting from nothing, as terrifying as it sounds, forces clarity. It strips away all the distractions, the ego, and those unnecessary responsibilities you thought were so important 🙂.

What’s left? Just the essentials—the truth about what really matters and what’s worth building again.

And let me tell you, the temptation to jump right back in, to try and rebuild everything overnight, is real. But that’s a trap. Progress isn’t about speed; it’s about getting the process right.

Think of it like farming. You don’t grow crops by wishing them into existence. You start by preparing the soil—methodically, patiently, and with care. Growth is slow, uneven, and rarely shows results when you want it to. But when you get the foundation right, the growth that follows is inevitable and enduring.

The same principle applies everywhere: in work, in life, in leadership. You don’t control the outcome, but you control the conditions. And if you focus on the conditions, good things will follow.

And here’s something worth mentioning about big wins: for the longest time, it feels like nothing’s happening. You’re putting in the work, showing up every day, and the results just aren’t there. But then, one day, you look up, and everything is different. The storm has passed. The seeds have sprouted. The field is alive again!

That’s what I’m holding onto as we kick off 2025. It's going to be a year of tending, growing, and trusting that good things are coming. I wish the same for you :)
